A year-long regular and favorite at my home feeders, cardinals always seem to have a very
subtle, businesslike quality to me. They’re the first ones out there cracking seeds in the morning, and usually the last ones to leave at the end of the day. The stout, non-nonsense bowler seems to fit this working-class gent well.
